High Tempo Therapy (2023)

“What if there’s a music festival that purposely takes place in winter?”
High Tempo Therapy is an annual electronic music festival, which takes place in the coldest season of winter, in 5 cities around the world. They strictly feature high-tempo music, in which the audience can sweat on fast music and ultimately enjoy the freezing weather. With their manifesto “High Tempo, High Temperature”, High Tempo Therapy’s goal is to create a unique ritual where people can gather around despite the cold weather, and experience extreme heat.

High Tempo Therapy’s logo was inspired by the tight sound wave that high bpm musics consist of. Based on an edgy typeface that has a tight default spacing, it was partially cut off for a better vertical impression with legibility. Amongst the logo, High Tempo Therapy’s visual identity is based on two complimentary colors– blue and orange, symbolizing two different pitches of temperature, and subtle gradient effects with a metaphor of heat conduction.
